Fireflies

Come June when the heat is just right and there’s been some rain, the fireflies cover our trees and coat the field with flashes of light after the sun has set.  Tonight’s show was enough to catch our eye as we were getting ready for bed.  We wandered out to the edge of the field by the cabin and stood dumbstruck by the sheer number of them.  Photography completely fails to capture the beauty.
